Jerry Manuel On WFAN

Mets manager Jerry Manuel made the final appearance of the season on WFAN's radio show Mike'd Up. Just some things I found interesting:

  • He could not praise Johan Santana enough. He made that final start of the season, his best, with an injury.
  • Daniel Murphy will most likely play everyday said Manuel. He just is struggling to find a position for him. (For more info on Murphy's position situation visit the post below)
  • He says there is not problem in the Mets clubhouse including leadership situations and ethnic problems.
  • Unlike Willie Randolph, Jerry thinks that reminding players of what happened last year can only make them stronger.
  • Manuel was asked about his coaches, and did not comment on the 3rd base coach situation. A.K.A. Luis Aguayo.
