K-Rod Price Dropping?
Angel's closer and soon to be free agent Fransisco Rodriguez, K-Rod, may have dropped his price a bit. Friday night he allowed the go-ahead two run homer to J.D. Drew in Game 2 of the ALDS. Now the question at hand is did his price just drop?
Many say his agent is asking for 5 years 75 million which is a helluva lot of money. The Mets already have a giant payroll and if they do sign K-Rod and there is another Metless October, heads will roll. Were talking big managerial shake ups, roster changes and general manager moves.
J.D. Drew could have really helped the Mets. Although K-Rod broke the single season save record this season, that one home run could have cost him some cash.
Now it's time to talk Brian Fuentes. It was rumored the free agent was going to be traded this All-Star break but was kept on the Rockies. He is going to cost much less and probally isn't going to get the lengthy deal like K-Rod because of his age. I estimate around 3-4 years 30-35 million.
Personally I feel the Mets should go after Brian Fuentes rather than Francisco Rodriguesz. If K-Rod is going to cost less I say take him but as of now Fuentes is my guy. Francisco has a very violent motion and I feel he will heart himself eventually. Fuentes will cost less but will not be as effective. However I fell in the long run Fuentes is the better choice.

yeah, us Cubs fans do have a lot of problems.. this fricken 100 year deadline is over with, so HOPEFULLY we can win one eventually. Thanks for the nice comment though.
