Mets In The Arizona Fall League

Seven players on the Mets will be playing for the Peoria Saguaros this year in the Arizona Fall League.

Here are the seven Mets players that will play.

  • Daniel Murphy
  • Eddie Kunz
  • Tobi Stoner
  • Bobby Parnell
  • Shawn Bowman
  • Josh Thole
  • Jason Vargas
Just an interesting note, Daniel Murphy was listed as a first basemen on a teams roster. Daniel started off as a 3B but switched to 2B for obvious reasons.(If you don't know this look at the Mets depth chart, tell me who's playing 3rd) He played LF this year with the Mets and was rumored to play 2B this year in the Arizona League. This may be hinting that Carlos Delgado won't return next year even though it is rumored he has returned.

The league starts tommoroww and ends on November 20th.

Who are these guys? I've heard of Murphy, Kunz, Parnell, and Vargas, but thats it. Jason Vargas turned out to be a horrible trade. We gave up Henry Owens and Matt Limstrom to the Marlins and I havn't heard anything about Jason yet (not to be confused with Claudio Vargas).
